SCM435 Steel Strip & Coil Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, Annealed & Quenched-Tempered
SCM435 steel strip and coil is equivalent to35CrMo (GB), 4135 (AISI/SAE), and 34CrMo4 (DIN). It is a chromium-molybdenum alloy steel supplied in coil form for cold heading, stamping, and high-strength fastener applications. We produce hot rolled coil, cold rolled strip, spheroidize annealed coil, and quenched-tempered strip from a single facility.

Applications: Where SCM435 Strip & Coil Is Used
Cold heading / fastener strip (spheroidize annealed):
SCM435 is a standard grade for 10.9 and 12.9 high-strength fasteners. Spheroidize annealed coil provides the ductility required for cold heading without cracking.
Stamping and precision parts (cold rolled strip):
Cold rolled SCM435 strip is used for automotive transmission parts, clutch components, and precision mechanical parts requiring dimensional accuracy and consistent hardness
Quenched-tempered strip:
High-strength bolts, nuts, and stamped structural parts requiring tensile strength above 985 MPa after final heat treatment.
Hot rolled coil:
Feedstock for subsequent cold rolling or annealing; also supplied as pickled coil for parts not requiring tight tolerances.
Why Buy SCM435 Strip & Coil from Guangzhou Cgoodsteel Co.,Ltd
Four process lines in one facility: Hot rolling, cold rolling, spheroidize annealing, and quench-temper — you source the finished condition, not just raw coil.
Width and thickness flexibility: Cold rolled strip available in narrow slit widths (15–620 mm) or wide coil (1000–1250 mm); thickness per your spec.
Test certificate with every lot: Chemical composition, hardness, and mechanical properties traceable to heat number.
Equivalent-grade documentation: We supply the SCM435 equivalence statement for your customer’s material approval.
FAQ
Q: Is S435MC the same as SCM435?
A: S435MC is the mill designation. It is equivalent to SCM435 (JIS G4053), 35CrMo (GB), 4135 (AISI), and 34CrMo4 (DIN). Confirm equivalence against your end-customer specification before approval.
Q: Can SCM435 be supplied as cold rolled strip?
A: Yes. Cold rolled SCM435 strip is supplied in cold-hard, soft, or annealed conditions, with hardness ranges from HRB 60–85 (soft) to HRB 89–105 (cold-hard).
Q: What annealing condition is used for cold heading?
A: Spheroidize annealing. For SCM435, optimized spheroidization can achieve hardness around 113 HV; subcritical annealing near 700°C is used industrially for cold-heading quality coil.
Q: What QT hardness can you supply?
A: HRC 32–52 adjustable by tempering temperature. For fastener applications, common targets are HRC 33–38 (temper ~500–530°C) or HRC 38–42 (temper ~430–460°C).
